WordPress Conferences.
Stick it in your diary: December 4th to 6th at Pennsylvania Convention Centre, Philadelphia, PA.
This is the very first US-titled WordCamp. Until this year, the unofficial “main event” was at WordCamp SanFran. Not anymore, the 2,000 delegate conference is now the daddy of all US WordCamps.
So, with WordCamp US as the premier North American WordCamp what can you expect? Actually much of what we are used to elsewhere – it will include two days of programmed sessions on Friday and Saturday as well and a full day contributor event on Sunday. It’s estimated that over 2,000 folks will attend – that’s twice the size of last year’s San Francisco event!
Immediately prior to this (December 2-3) is the WordPress Community Summit – a smaller, invite-only event for active members and contributors on the many teams that work to improve WordPress: Core, Design, Mobile, Accessibility, Support, Polygots, Documentation, Themes, Plugins, Community, Meta, Training, Flow and TV.
Early-bird tickets sold-out really quickly (24hrs) but another tranche is being released today at 2pm EST (7pm London) and you can get them here. If you can’t make it in person then how about watching the live stream?
Or how about getting more involved and sponsoring the event.
See you there…
